Today is Pi day – the day where we observe how awesome the never ending number Pi is. If you recall Pi, or π, it’s well known for being the ratio of the circumference of any circle to its diameter of that circle. No matter how big or small the circle is, when you measure its circumference and its diameter, the ratio will ALWAYS be equal to approximately 3.14159265359…
For example , if I were to take my rings and measure the circumference and its diameter, the ratio would be approximately (~) 3.14.
If I measure my hoop earrings, close to 3.14.
Any other circular jewelry, ~3.14.
So celebrate Pi day today, tomorrow and forever in jewelry. That way not only will the accessories will make you look like a goddess, you’ll always remember when you look at your jewelry, you will know that the circumference over diameter is π.
